Eastern Promise Massage on Finchley Road NW3

I fancied a massage today, so I was having a search online in a massage directory when I came across this ad for a spa called Eastern Promise. I realised it was a shop I had spotted a week or so ago that had been closed. It seemed to have reopened, so I called them on 0207 435 2200, and an accommodating receptionist said they had reopened after a makeover. They had a very competent masseuse called Cherry available, and I would be royally looked after.

With a sales pitch like that, how could I refuse?

Finchley Road tube and Finchley Rd & Frognal overground are the nearest stations, and numerous buses go up and down this busy road.
I arrived on time, and the receptionist opened the door and ushered me in. She was a lovely young lady dressed in a traditional Chinese outfit and looked professional. She suggested I try 30 minutes for £30, and if I liked Cherry's style, I could extend it to one hour for £20 more.

This seemed like a sincere approach, and I agreed. I was shown to my room and asked if I would like some Chinese Tea,  which I gratefully accepted.

Cherry came into the room after a few minutes with my tea, and I had a few sips and told her I would have some later. She looked very presentable, dressed in a bright white tunic/dress. She said she would start the massage without oil and see how my back was. She began her work, and I could immediately tell she had great talent and was a skilful therapist. Cherry was quite chatty, but this was kept to enquiring how the message was.

She is very confident in her ability, and she told me that my back was very knotted and that she would like to concentrate on this area. I told her I trusted her judgement and my body was in her hands. Cherry asked me if I would like to extend my time, and I was thrilled to indeed; this was an absolute pleasure.

Still working on my back, Cherry got onto the table and got into some good pressure work along each side of the spine; I was being treated like a KIng.It was then time to turn, and the meticulous work was carried on. I could happily have had another hour but needed to get off, much to my disappointment. This was the most enjoyable massage I had had by a very confident and well-presented young lady for a long time. I bet she has trained many girls who have become massage legends!

I was offered a shower or hot towel, but so little oil had been used I needed neither.
Eastern Promises is without the best massage spa I have visited in this area, and Cherry is a superstar.
I give a big thumbs up and 5 Stars to Eastern Promise. In those immortal words, "I will be back".
On their website, on the way home, I saw tremendous money-saving packages available.
I think I will have to indulge.
